Andrew Breitbart Dead

I’ve always tried to be a voice of centrality in what I do. I like to look at both sides of the coin and through reasoning and my own brand of common sense make my own decisions which seemingly confound many. In no way do I pretend to think I am the most brilliant man in the world but I don’t need to be, I just gotta be me.
I’ve read a lot of material from Andrew Breitbart and I’ve read a lot of material ABOUT Andrew Breitbart by those who wanted him silenced or at least reduced from his online media perch.
Formerly he was background music supporting conservative political thoughts and then a few years back he roared for the first time and people took note. They noticed his that what he would actually say wasn’t identical to a simple party line but the line of his own conscience. They noticed that his rich intellect and his unbound sense of humor.
Today and over the next few days you will find a lot of people writing these sort of posts in tribute to Andrew Breitbart. Take a moment and read what he had to say. Go check out his Twitter account which he posted to only a few hours prior to his passing.
The Passing of Andrew Breitbart is inspiring to me in that it reminds me once again that I am not here forever but only passing through and that I have a voice and I want to be heard, not as a smart ass or know it all but as a person who is willing to tow the line of my good conscience over a party line or a line that is given to me from a pulpit. I am inspired to not be ashamed or worried about who or what I am, just sort of let the chips fall where they may. Will I lose the respect of some friends? Perhaps. Will I lose some friends? More than likely.
I am not certain if Andrew Breitbart was a Christian at all. The time for hand-ringing over that is done and gone as of a few hours ago when he crossed from this life into eternity. I hope so because if not, this man who started to live his conscience only a few years ago will have lived for nothing at all.
So, today as part of a pretty reflective entry I’ll make this proclamation. I am a Christian, saved by grace. I am a husband and a father. I am an American which I never confuse with being a Christian. I am not a republican or Democrat and I don’t buy into all the Ron Paul stuff either. I am determined to share my voice, my point of view with the hopes that I can encourage you to make a difference where you are regardless of if you agree with me or not.

I’m sure now I’ll see God’s goodness in the exuberant earth. Stay with GOD! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with GOD. — Psalm 27:14 (MSG)Categories
