Playing Music
I got a very nice email from Billie in Fort Worth, TX who asked me “Do you all ever intend to add music to Humble O Radio?”
Initially music was going to be a part of any podcast I did. I spent over 15 years in music oriented radio, worked for record labels, promoted concerts and so on. I always thought my podcasts would be music oriented. Unfortunately that isn’t possible because of the exorbitant amount of money being charged to a podcaster to help promote the music and artists they love.
So will I be playing music on this podcast?
I am currently working on that. I have talked with attorneys and representatives from ASCAP, SESAC, and BMI to find out if I can obtain an artist waiver, in writing, from the author and performer of an original work that would allow me to play music.
